Jones Soda Co. (CSE: JSDA, OTCQB: JSDA) is set to expand its Mary Jones brand with the introduction of a hefty and potent new drink.

On Friday, the renowned soda company announced the upcoming launch of its 16-ounce resealable tall boy cans with 100 milligrams of THC that will make their debut in California before the end of October.

The new cannabis drinks will be available in root beer, orange & cream, berry lemonade and green apple flavours.

Jones says that its Mary J brand has surpassed market forecasts and made its way into over 150 dispensaries since its debut in June. The 10-milligram and 100-milligram THC-infused drinks will become available at MedMen locations later this month too.

The soda producer has a contract with Kiva Sales & Service for vending and distribution of its chronic variety soda.

“The launch of Mary Jones 10-milligram bottles was one of the most successful brand launches we’ve seen at KSS, with deliveries to more than 120 retailers in the first 60 days,” said Brooks Jorgensen, president at Kiva Sales & Service.

“We’re excited to build on this success with the upcoming launch of Mary Jones 100-milligram cans, which will meet the demand from consumers looking for higher-dose sodas that taste great.”

“Building on our initial success, this new higher-potency 100-milligram product unlocks a valuable category with a higher value product aimed at a more mature cannabis consumer,” added Mark Murray, president and CEO of Jones Soda.

“With our ambitious product roadmap and new partnerships enabling us to expand to other states, I’m confident that our cannabis division will be instrumental in our growth in 2023 and beyond.”
